First of all, I am Mark Ray-An Posadas, a 3rd year student of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, I am taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. In relation with my internship at Domain Merchandising Services Inc. or also known as dotPH, I am asked to do these observations then afterwards my commentaries and solutions about their product called “i (dot) ph”.
In there website, http://www.i.ph, there is a domain every individual. i.ph is the domain for individuals who want a personal website that's unique and easy to use. It is a Friendster, Bloggers, Youtube and email rolled into one domain. (Wow!!Nakakabilib naman!!). Siguro ang masasabi ko lang, it is the Filipino Version of Yahoo! except hindi siya search engine.
I tried the Free Blog section, so I can try how these things really works. It took me 3 and a half minute to register my domain, lisyaoran.i.ph. In fairness, ang gamit ko lang noon ay dial-up ahh!!! Mabilis!! Siguro ang nagpabagal lang sa akin dun yung pag-logon ko sa YahooMail.
I noticed in the news column “Google Ads Soon,” dapat bilisin niyo ahhh!!!Siguro dahil nga new product ito dapat mas lalong pagandahin pa.
One thing I noticed, ang ganda ng mga templates para sa blog ahhh!!as in!! Hope to see more templates as i.ph progresses in the market.
I also noticed that almost everything is built-in, as in everything in one, there is a site statistic, tagboard, forums, anti-virus and anti-spam for the mail. I think a very good job in your part. Hindi na ako maghahanap sa internet ng mga abubot ko sa blog.
Bad thing is how I can edit my blog layout???Hindi ko kasi makita sa Dashboard ko kung paano ko siya ieedit. As a first timer, siguro kailangan maging user-friendly yung Dashboard. Dapat madaling makita ng mga users yung kanilang hinahanap. Majority ng mga users ay hindi gumagamit ng HELP. They want easy to find links.
As a whole, very good on your product. I want to congratulate you for the new product. Kahit paano may ipagmamalaki ang mga Pinoy sa larangan ng Information Technology.
I thing is not sure kaya bang makipag-compete ang i.ph. Strategy lang yan. I am not that very intelligent to say na dapat marami tayong pera para may ilalaban tayo. Use our resources here in the Philippines. Ibigay mo ang kailangan ng mga Pinoy at siguradong papatok ka katulad ng Friendster.
